Dana Patterson is the author of the "Honey and Peach Farms" children's book series!

Dana Patterson lives in a rural Oklahoma town, and is a retired teacher of 32 years. During her career, she taught children from grades pre-kindergarten through middle school. Her heart was always in teaching kindergarten, specifically, which is why she chose to write children's books that also offer hands-on learning opportunities. Her books are inspired by her decades of teaching, the local farms she lives around and her first granddaughter, Presley Peach.

"Honey and Peach Farms" is a book series by author Dana Patterson. The books follow Honey and her granddaughter, Presley Peach, as they plant various fruits, vegetables and nuts around their farm while learning about how they grow. The first book, "Honey and Peach Farms: Where Love Grows" introduces the pair and Honey plants peaches in anticipation of her first grandchild. Presley Peach then joins Honey for harvesting of the peaches.

In the second installment of “Honey and Peach Farms,” grandmother Honey and granddaughter Presley Peach visit the Bryant Pecan Orchard in Ada, Oklahoma, where they learn all about growing pecans and the orchard’s history. The book is dedicated to the late Carrel Bryant, who was a cousin of Patterson’s husband.
